Celebration, Education, Recreation: A Park for People

The Pavilion

The Pavilion at Castle Green is a Grade II listed Georgian building on Medieval foundations with rooms available for hire located in the heart of Hereford City.
Now run on behalf of the community by Friends of Castle Green CIC, the Pavilion has three large rooms that make it the ideal venue for private functions, training courses, dance, exercise classes, worskhops, meetings, conferences, parties and a multitude of other uses for groups of all sizes.

The central location of the building, on the banks of the River Wye and overlooking historic Castle Green, make the Pavilion a popular space for community groups and individuals to meet for a number of purposes.

Under the care of Friends of Castle Green, the ultimate aim is to restore the Pavilion to reflect its historic past and re-create it for use as a sustainable community asset. In the meantime, the versatile space provides a home for Hereford City’s Youth Canoe Club and projects including Livewire, developing music opportunities for the 12-25 age group, yoga, tai chi and pilates classes, speech and drama sessions and rehearsals.

Friends of Castle Green also has an extensive range of outdoor event kit with items available to hire for very reasonable rates, including gazebos, café tables and chairs, folding tables, water boilers, soup tureens, cables etc.
